During the rainy season of summer in Florida we often have dramatic storms in the afternoon. Sometimes the skies are amazing with powerful cloud formations. This beach scene is at Jensen Beach on the east coast of Florida with a rainstorm forming over the Atlantic Ocean. Waves are crashing onto the shore, pushing their way up the sand. Birds face the waters, as if watching the storm and changing weather. Someone recently walked along the beach; there are footprints in the sand going towards the condos in the background. There is a sense of serenity and calm here in spite of the storm in the distance. Jensen Beach is north of West Palm Beach near Port St. Lucie and Hutchison Island.
